Kevin De Bruyne could be out of action when Manchester City face neighbours Manchester United in a highly anticipated English Premier League fixture.
The two teams will face-off on Sunday, March 8, at Old Trafford in what could be described as a mouthwatering episode of the Manchester Derby.
De Bruyne was not fielded in City’s 1-0 win over Sheffield United in the FA Cup and his manager is not sure he will be available at Old Trafford.
The 28-year-old has been impressive for the Citizens this season featuring in 35 matches and scoring 9 goals with 8 of those in the league.
"He (Kevin de Bruyne) fell down in a bad position and had a problem with his back," Guardiola said. "We don’t know how long (he'll be out for with Manchester derby on Sunday), hopefully not that much." The Pep Guardiola-tutored side is currently second on the Premier League standing with a daunting 22 points behind league leaders Liverpool with one game in hand.
